Obituary For Alice Pearl Hinton

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Alice Pearl Hinton on January 4th, 2018.

Mrs. Alice Pearl Hinton was born September 16, 1929, in Grantville, GA, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bishop Render Sr. She was called home on Thursday, January 4, 2018. She was a loving Mother, Big Mama, Great-grand Mother, Sister, Aunt, Niece, Cousin and Friend.

She attended school in the Luthersville Community. She was well known for her Ushering at many different churches and her cooking. She was also known as the Head Poller in Luthersville, column writer for The Meriwether Vindicator and The Compiling a Jury Pool Selection.

Pearl joined The Macedonia Baptist Church at the age of nine years old. She served faithfully as President of the Usher Board until her health began to fail.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dea. Bishsop and Mattie Mae Render Sr.; husband, John (Sonny Boy) Hinton; son, Willie McFarlin; brothers, Bishop Render Jr. and John (Bubba) Render; daughter-in-law, Debra McFarlin and Great grandchild, Justin Blalick; Care-giving step-son, Rev. Adolph (Mary) Amey; Step Granddaughter, Mary Amey.

Pearl leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Mrs. Florine (Johnny) Allen of Fort Washington, MD, Ms. Yvonne Blalock of Luthersville, GA; sons, Mr. Thomas A. McFarlin of Barboursville, VA and Mr. Jousual Hinton of Las Vegas, NV.

A loving and caring Granddaughter, Mrs. Ursula (Willie) Parker and Grandson Demetrius (Too Tuff) Blalock of Luthersville, GA; seven Grandchildren, Pernell Allen, Mrs. Natasha (Tyrone) Boddie, Janee McFarlin, Christina (Blake) Alsop and Joren Hinton; four Great-Grand children, Bria, Zaid, Benjamin andWaliyah; two step-sons, Mr. Rawlin and Jimmy Hinton; Care-giving Step Grandchildren, James, Ricky, Vevelion, Janice, Cheryl, Frances, Quovidis, and Joyce Amey; two sisters, Minister Rosa L. Tate and Ms. Mary E. Clayton of Luthersville, GA; two aunts, Ms. Gwendolyn Hall and Ms. Mary Parks of Atlanta, GA; three sisters-in-law, Ms. Elizabeth Render of Newnan, GA, Ms. Annie D. Render of Mobile, AL, and Ms. Mae Brown of Warm Springs, GA; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Her extended family, two faithful Care-givers, Ms. Christine Williams and Ms. Joann Johnson.

Funeral service is January 11th, 2018 12:00 pm noon at Macedonia Baptist Church 824 Goldmine Road in Grantville GA. Visitation at Sewell Mortuary 1/10/2018 from 12:00 noon till 6:00 pm. Family visitation from 6 to 8:00 pm.
