With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Christopher Powell on January 12th, 2021.

Graveside service will be January 18th, at 1:00 PM at Eastview Cemetery in Newnan.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on January 17th, 2021.

Christopher T. Brewster Powell was born in Newnan, Georgia on June 30, 1980 to the late Mr. Charles Brewster and Ms. Ellen Connally Powell.

He departed this life on January 12th 2021 at Emory Atlanta Hospital. He was preceded in death by his father Mr. Charles Brewster; maternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Olin (Cora) Connally; paternal grandmother Mrs. Maggie R. Brewster; paternal aunt Ms. Mildred Brewster; two maternal aunts; six maternal uncles; four paternal uncles; special cousin Demario Johnson.

Chris was educated at the East Coweta High School. He graduated in 1999.

Chris gave his life to God at an early age at the Westside Church of Christ, Westside School Road.

Chris enjoyed wrestling, basketball, football, Nintendo games, Bones Thug and Harmony, but his first love was his church, where he faithfully attended until his health declined.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving devoted mother Ms. Ellen Connally Powell; sisters Priscilla Powell, Deleta Powell, Kevin Anthony of Newnan, GA; step-sisters Jaleesa, Ciara, Jasmine, Alexandria, A'Aliyah; step-brothers Jordan, Charles Jr., Geoffery and Bruce all of Croakston MN; aunt Mr. and Mrs. Brad Hill (JoAnn); uncle Mr. Leon Brewster of Columbus, OH and Mr. Lesley Connally of Huntsville, AL; great aunts Mrs. Mary Dunson, Mrs. Beatrice Evans; nieces Tiatianna, Corrisha, Kiandria; nephews Delananta, Sharmarcus, Tamarcus, Jarmon; very loving God-Daddy Mr. Carlton Petty; special cousins Jarvorris, Bradrick, Regina, Chandra; and a host of relatives and friends.
