Obituary For Dorothy Stevens Rosser

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Dorothy Stevens-Rosser on September 2nd, 2018.

Funeral Service at Macedonia Baptist Church Grantville Ga Saturday 9/8/18 at 12 noon.

Visitation: Friday 9/7/18 from 2:00-7:00 pm at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA.

INTERMENT: Grantville City Cemetery

Dorothy Jo Stevens Rosser “Dot” was born on July 6,1949 in Meriwether County, Georgia to the late Mr. Robert Stevens and Velma Parks Stevens. “Dot” was the first born of four children. One nephew, Royce Stevens and a bother-in-law, Mr. Frank Hall, whom preceded her in death.

At an early age “Dot” confessed her life to Christ and joined the Fellowship Baptist Church. She later moved to Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Corinth, Georgia, serving as a secretary of the choir. A lovely reunion of twenty-nine years to the late Mr. Leon Rosser. The secret bond of this reunion gained the rewarding gift of fatherhood to three dear stepsons, Randy, Corey and Reginald Stevens.

On Sunday, September 2, 2018, “Dot” was called from labor to be rewarded her crown in heaven.

“Dot” leaves to mourn her life, love, and memories to three sons, Mr. Randy Stevens (Debra), Mr. Corey Stevens (Tenika) both of Grantville, Georgia, Mr. Reginald Stevens (Denise) Hogansville, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Brandon Stevens, Demarcus Stevens, Corion Stevens, Jasmine Stevens, Aliah Beasley, Mya Stevens, Reginald “RJ” Stevens, Tenia Dawson, Tiana Dawson, Xzavier Smith and Jordan Smith; one great-granddaughter, Kaniyah Stevens; two sisters, Ms. Betty Ann Stevens of Moreland, Georgia, Ms. Julia Ann Hall of Luthersville, Georgia; one brother, Mr. Wille Robert Stevens Jr. of Moreland, Georgia; two nieces, Kesia Colton (James) of Grantville, Georgia, Ms. Tamekia Hall of Fayetteville, Georgia; and Mr. Daryl Frank Hall (Bernadette) of Jacksonville, Florida; A loving and devoted godsister, Ms. Annie R. Godfrey of Greenville, Georgia; four brothers-in-law, Mr. William Rosser (Rosetta), Mr. Danny Rosser (Catherine), Mr. Joe Rosser (Sylvia), Mr. Victor Rosser; three sisters-in-law, Ms. Charlie Mae Scales, Ms. Bobbie Heflin, and Mrs. Marsha Ramsey; four loving and faithful friends, Mrs. Emily Kate Strozier, Ms. Roseland Keith and Ms. Casandra Davenport, Mr. Robert Davenport of Grantville, Georgia; And a host of loving nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and all the neighborhood kids.
