With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Erica Y. Davis on November 8th, 2020.

Graveside service is planned for November 14th, 2 PM at White Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Erica Yolanda Davis was born January 1 1976 to the union of Frankie Lee Davis and Nancy Ann Davis Erica was the oldest of their three girls, and the big sister to Shannon Davis and April Davis

Erica turned her life over to Christ at a young age and was a member of Gospel Tabernacle, where she was active in the youth ministry She participated in the HYPE program, sang in the choir and led many plays at church Erica graduated from Clarkston High School in 1994 After attending Albany State, she pursued a career in teaching and taught Pre K to 3 K at A Christian Academy and Kids R Kids in Lithonia, Georgia

Erica was blessed with two beautiful children Darian Woods Jr and Jasmine Simone Venus Horton She loved them dearly Erica had so many loving friends which we also consider family Valencia Kirksey, Monita Kirksey, Sherita Carter, Nancy Edmonds, and Temiki Jenkins, just to name a few Erica had one niece, Artelia Bruton (her roommate) and one nephew, Jocephus Bruton, who she home schooled for Pre K after she was losing her vision Being able to teach gave her joy Erica also leaves many loving Aunts, Uncles, cousins and friends

She put up a fight for a week in ICU and passed away due to Covid 19 on November 8 th, 2020

Despite all her disabilities, she was a fighter Erica was also a giver and she loved to do for others Surprising others gave her joy but she didn’t like receiving surprises She was a planner and never procrastinated She loved hard and cared for many Her family was everything to her Words can not express how much she will be missed
