Obituary For Georgia Bussey Williams

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Georgia Bussey Williams on May 1st, 2018.

Funeral service is Saturday, May 5th, 2:00 pm at New Friendship Church in Greenville GA.

Visitation is May 4th from 12 to 6 pm at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA.

Mrs. Georgia Mae Williams was born May 17, 1931 to the late Mr. Rebecca Mitchell Bussey and Mr. George Bussey in Meriwether County, Georgia.

Georgia Mae received her education in Meriwether County. She worked for many years at Greenville Middle School, Callaway Garden Pine Mountain, Georgia and Philips 66 in Greenville, Georgia.

At an early age Georgia Mae joined New Friendship Baptist Church in Greenville, where she served faithfully on the Mother Board until her health failed. Georgia wed the love of her life Mr. Milton Williams Sr. and the two forged and unbreakable bond of love and devotion.

On May 1, 2018 early in the morning Georgia Mae let go of her aches, pain and burdens at West Georgia Hospice to rest in the welcoming arms of the Lord to be with her late sons Johnny Lee Bussey, Leroy D Williams and sister Mildred Ogletree.

Georgia Mae leaves to cherish her loving memories and legacy to her devoted husband Milton Williams, Sr.; her children: Joel (Rosema) Bray, Bobby (Sharon) Bussey and Yvonne Williams Denson of Greenville, Georgia, Veronica Williams-White of Cleveland, Ohio, Milton (Carolyn) Williams Jr. of Woodbury, Georgia, and Maxine (Randy) Hall, of LaGrange, Georgia; Daughter-in-law: Chynthia Bussey of Hogansville, Georgia; Her sisters and brothers: Joe (Mattie) Bussey Jr., Vera Mae Bussey and Frank Bussey of Greenville, Georgia, Juanita Rhodes of Cincinnati, Ohio, Gwendolyn Johnson of Columbus, Georgia, Glen Hall, Betty (Dan) Hardy of LaGrange, Georgia, Jay L. Hinton, Loretta E. Stinson, Peggy (Frank) Marshall Jr. of Greenville, Georgia and Maria (Kenny) Harry of LaGrange, Georgia. She was a devoted grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and aunt as she loved them all; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and two special God sons Brian and Daniel Garrett whom she loved dearly.
