Obituary For Josephine Reeves Tenney

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Josephine Reeves Tenney on February 8th, 2018.

Funeral Service: Fellowship Baptist Church February 11, 2018 at 3 pm

Visitation: February 10th, 2018 from 1-6 pm at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville.

Josephine Reeves Tenney was born on January 31, 1953, in Meriwether County. The Lord called her home on February 8, 2018. She was born to the late John and Lucille Reeves. She was the tenth child of fourteen children. John Jr., William, Albert, Isaiah, Bessie, and Catherine preceded her in death. She leaves seven siblings to cherish her memories: Louise (John H.) Brown, Rebecca (Gene) Cameron, Joe Lewis (Shirley) Reeves, Mary (James) Bray, Tom Reeves, Robert Reeves and Charles (Gail) Reeves.

Josephine was married to the late Willie Robert Tenney and they were proud parents of three children: Willie Robert Tenney Jr. (Lue Ella), Stacy (David) Parks, and Printis Tenney. She leaves a legacy of love with a host of grandchildren and one great-grand child. She also leaves a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a very special friend, James Beasley.

She attended Greenville Consolidated School. She loved the Lord and accepted Christ at a very early age. She joined Fellowship Baptist Church, Greenville, GA. She had a lovely voice and loved to praise the Lord. Josephine loved her children & grandchildren dearly. She especially loved family gatherings, enjoyed annually family reunions and out of town trips.

    I'm sorry to see and hear of your lost. Death is truly our enemy. But at 1 Cor 15:26 mentions how death will be done away with, and Rev 21:4 says how God will wipe out ever tear from eyes. You have my condolence
