Obituary For Lillian Rosser

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Lillian Rosseron 4/24/2018.

Funeral Service 4/28/2018 2:00 pm at St. Paul AME Church in Hogansville GA.

Lillian Prather Rosser was born on October 16, 1922 to the union of the late Levi and Victoria Prather in Meriwether County and our family matriarch was called to her eternal home on April 24, 2018 at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange, GA. She was 95. Lillian was gifted in several areas including cooking, baking, cleaning, and gardening. She was well known for delicious homemade cakes. Lillian accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of St. Paul AME Church in Hogansville, GA until the declining of her health. She was a faithful member of the Mother’s Board. She spent countless hours during her spare time enjoying reading her Bible and listening to gospel music. She was married to the late Willie B. Rosser and to this union five children were born. She is preceded in death by her parents - Levi Prather and Victoria Reeves Prather, her brothers - Wilson Prather and Idus Prather, her sisters - Ina M. Prather, Veola Prather, and her son (Willie B. Rosser Jr.). Leaving to cherish and celebrate her legacy one son Marvin (Marietta) Rosser, three daughters Mary Nell Gamble, Delores (Jeremiah) Robinson, Sandra Smith; one brother Alonzo Prather; one sister Catherine Gates; seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
