With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Lonzia E. Derring.

Visitation will be Wednesday, March 31st from 5 to 7 PM.

Graveside service will be on April 1st, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Newnan Ga.

Although Lonzia was married to a cousin of mine, I "met" him at Smith Chapel UMC and "knew" him through his Aunt Sarah. She spoke of him many times over the years when we worked together at the polls. Lonzia suffered much in his earthly body but his soul has now found that promised "rest beyond the river". May God's peace and blessings be with you all.
