We respectfully announce the passing of Lynda R. Wimbush on February 7th, 2018.

Funeral Service: 2/17/18 at 1:00 pm at New Birth Baptist Church in Senoia GA

Lynda Renee Wimbush was born on April 19, 1972 in Newnan, GA to the late Eddie B & Betty Wimbush. This little bundle of joy would warm the hearts of so many during her journey here on earth.

Lynda, who was loving and affectionately was known to many as “Renee” and “Shug”. As a young adult she joined the Christian family of New Birth Baptist Church in Alvaton, GA. Although her work extended far beyond the walls of New Birth, her heart and membership remained.

Renee received her GED from West Georgia Technical College, and her Associate Degree from Strayer University and was one year from receiving her Bachelor’s Degree.

Renee was employed at Porex for 13 years where she met a host of friends. During her tenure she was present with the opportunity to move to Pennsylvania for two years. In 2015, her previous co-workers reached out to her to return back to Georgia to work for Matrix Surgical USA in Atlanta, GA. She remained there until her passing.

Shug definition of relaxing was going shopping or taken in and loving on all animals. She had a love for nature. She would always put a smile on many faces with her funny quotes like “We Gotta go back to the Lab” or “We are not participating in these Activities.”

Renee was the third blessing of seven children. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents by her daughter, Bernita Cherell Wimbush and brother, Silas Bernard Wimbush.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalm 30:5b (KJV).

On Wednesday evening, February 7, 2018, Renee made her heavenly transition and entered in the joy of the Lord. She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory four loving children, three daughters, Renita Simon, Alexis Traylor and Adrien Anderson, one son Braelin Williams; four sisters, Vicky (William) Prather, Annette Wimbush and them, Joyce Wimbush and Valerie (Tommy) Turner; one brother Eddie Wimbush; eight aunts, Jesse (Ruby) Wimbish, Bernita McGruder, August Bennett, Morris (Ganail) Smith, John (Bertha) Amy, Daisy Harris, Cathleen Mayes, and Julie Wimbush; seven uncles, Cornell (Vanessa) McGruder, Emmanuel (Jettie Bell) McGruder, Dalphus Davis, Ervin (Patricia) McGurder, Ralph (Jonnie Mae) McGruder, George (Mozelle) Wimbush, and Paul Wimbush; sixteen nieces and nephews, Victoria, Denzel, Jama l(Jay), Diamond, Darin (Lil D), Tarria, Brandon, Taliyah, Tamia, Tiyanna, Taschina, Sierra, Ivory, Tamara, Tiarra, and Tommy (TJ); two great nephews, Tristan and her dancing and singing partner the one the only MJ, special friend, Adrian Anderson; cousins and friends too numerous to count.
