With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Martha Zackery on August 23rd, 2021.

The funeral service will be Saturday the 28th, at 2:00 PM at St Smyrna Baptist on Heery Rd Newnan Ga.

Visitation will be Friday the 27th, from 4 to 6 PM at Sewell Mortuary.

Mrs. Martha Nell Zackery was born to the late Mr. & Mrs. Emory Lee and LaMartha (Colton) Tennie on November 3, 1946 in Luthersville, Georgia. God called her home to rest on August 23, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband the late Rev. Willie Robert (Roy) Zackery; one adopted daughter Tracie; two brothers the late Emory Lee Tennie Jr., the late Willie James Tennie; one beloved sister the late Virginia Tennie.

Martha was employed throughout the years; Royal Moulding, Sprayberry BBQ, and she was a Home Health caregiver for over 20 years.

Martha joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age where she accepted Christ. She then became an active part of Sword of The Lord Ministries Inc. (Newnan) with her husband (the late Rev. Willie Robert (Roy) Zackery as the Assistant Pastor. Her later years she became a member of the Lighthouse of Praise Tabernacle.

Martha always loved to go fishing, traveling, shopping, working out, and attending church. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. And she had a giving heart.

Martha leaves to cherish her loving memories; one daughter Jacqueline (Buford) Newson; three grandchildren: Derrick Newson, Leon (Aimee) Lequiche (Paul) Watson; eleven great grandchildren: Antonio, Branderious, Brittany, Cortez, Lernilious, Taralji, Jayla, Jaliyah, Paris, Londyn, Serenity; one brother Charles (Angelyn) Tennie; two sisters-inlaw Betty Ruth (the late Emory Lee) Tennie, Jackie (the late Willie James) Tennie.

Nieces and Nephews: Lois Zackery, Kimberly (Chris) Bell, Alvin Mitchell, Linda Ruth (Ronald) Warner, Roxanne (Glenn) Tuck, Richard Tennie, Victor Tennie, Willie Charles Tennie, Tiffany Graham, Jimmy Antwon Graham, Shelisa (Tracey) Sinkfield, Shandria (Manuel) Sanchez, Lakeshia (Kevin) Boston, Charsea (Michael) Jones, Patrick Tennie, Danny Robinson, and a host of other nieces and nephews.

She leaves to cherish her special friends: Mrs. Emma Jean McKeever (over 40 years), Ms. Willie May, Ms. Brenda Pope, Ms. Vivian Barber.
