Obituary For Mary Gamble

With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Mary Gamble on May 28th, 2020.

Funeral Service will be June 2nd, 2020, 11:00 AM at Hogansville City Cemetery.

Visitation will be June 1st from 2 to 6 PM at Sewell Mortuary.

Mary Nell (Rosser) Gamble, age 69, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Twin Fountains Home, LaGrange, Georgia. She was born on October 7, 1950, in Hogansville, Georgia to the late Willie B. Rosser and Lillian (Prather) Rosser.

Mary Nell joined St. Paul A.M.E of Hogansville, Georgia at an early age. She graduated from West End High School in 1968. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia shortly after graduating to pursue her dreams as a Registered Nurse. She was married to Gilbert Jackson and to that Union one daughter was born.

Later in life she moved back to Hogansville her hometown. She was a dedicated employee for West Point Pepperell and Milliken. She later married Grover Gamble, who precedes her in death. Mary Nell is preceded in death by her husband, Grover Gamble; her father, Willie B. Rosser; her mother, Lillian Rosser; and her brother, Willie (Sonny) B. Rosser Jr.

She is survived by her loving family her daughter Vicki Jackson; a granddaughter Letrice Duffie, two great grandchildren JaQuan Duffie and Kaa’dyn Duffie; one brother Marvin (Marietta) Rosser; two sisters Delores Rhodes and Sandra Smith; two brother-in-laws Willie Joe Gamble and Phillip Gamble; one sister-in-law Carolyn Gamble; one uncle, Alonza Prather and one aunt, Catherine Gates and host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, family and friends.
