Obituary For Shirley Walker

With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Shirley Walker on August 29th, 2020.

Memorial service will be Saturday, September 12th, at 10:30 AM at Sewell Mortuary Chapel.

Ms. Shirley Walker was born August 26, 1949. She passed away peacefully on August 29th 2020 at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. Shirley loved cooking and spending time with her daughter and friends.

Shirley attended Central High school. She grew up in Smith Chapel United Methodists Church. Later in life she attended Redeeming Power Church of God and Christ.

Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her loving daughter Sonya Walker (Newnan GA); one sister Mae Mathis (Powder Springs, GA); A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother who raised her Ms. Maybell Bonner; Ms. Vera Alford (mother); Penniston Heath (father); Arthur Alford (brother); Ottie Bohannon (sister); Laura Alford (sister).

    Pig you have my prayers.Shirley was a good neighbor she always looked out for me.It will never be the same around here.She was always giving and wouldn't take anything in return.She took care of everybody,no matter who they were.Shirley I will miss you dearly, Love Dora
