Sylvester was born February 11, 1957 to the late Mr. Willie and Carrie Mae Morman Price. He was the youngest child to this union earning him the nickname Baby Brother. He also answered to the names Syl, Price, Daddy and Grandpa.

Sylvester, joined New Friendship Baptist Church in Greenville Georgia as a child. As he grew into manhood he was not confined by the traditional way of worship but choose to worship God in his own personal way, by enjoying all of God's marvelous works and giving thanks. Always leaning on the foundations taught by his parents, God, family, and work.

He graduated from Greenville High School in 1975 where he was an accomplished basketball player. Upon graduating he joined the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Hood, Texas. His training in the military afforded him the opportunity to come back to Atlanta Georgia and pursued a career in trucking as a long distance driver and later as an accomplished construction worker with his work being displayed all over the metropolitan area.

Syl, was the father to one son Antonio Price. He later married Melissa Ingram and to that union had two daughters Keysha and Valorie Price. Syl, was a quiet gentle soul with a distinctive laugh and heart as open as a prairie, always loving his family and friends.

Baby Brother (Syl), was preceded in death by his parents Willie and Carrie Price; his brothers William, Willie Jr., Albert, Sam, and Bennie. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Ruby Ford and Juanita Favors.

He leaves to reflect on his memory his son Antonio Price of Greenville, GA; his daughters Keysha Price of Kennesaw, GA and Valorie Cliatt (Javon) of Columbus, GA; His grandchildren Kelsey Miller, Rodney Favors Jr., Jasmine Price, Janaiya Cliatt, Antone Price, Anterius Price and great grand daughter Alayah Favors; His siblings, Charlie Price of Fort Lauderdale FL, Susie Wright of Decatur, GA, Carrie Price, Johnnie Mae Favors (Crosby), Roger Price (Edna), Bobby Price (Marynell) all of Greenville, GA; Sister-in-laws, Ora Price, Johnnie P. Johnson and Burnadette Price; Brother-in-law Dale Favors; Also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In life I made my mistakes, each day I worked to correct them. I'm so glad my parents taught me of a man who would forgive all of my mistakes.
