Obituary For Vanessa Winfrey-Reid

With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Vanessa Winfrey-Reid on August 23rd, 2021.

Graveside service will be held Monday, August 30th, at 2:00 PM at Eastview Cemetery in Newnan Ga.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 PM on Sunday at Sewell Mortuary.

Mrs. Vanessa Ann Winfrey Reid was born March 15th, 1964 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Thomas Strickland and Annie L Strickland. She departed this life on August 23rd, 2021 at Newnan Hospital.

Vanessa was the life of the party. Some of you may know her better as Woahdie. She loved her gospel music, riding, and being around her family and friends. She later became a member of Healing Word Church. She was employed at Hello Fresh, and loved her job.

She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband John Reid; five siblings; Michael Collins, Nicketta Collins, Tara Houston, Jason Strickland, and Melissa Maddox; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, family, friends and a very special friend Anthony Ball.

As the book of life is written for each of us it to has an ending date. August 23, 2021 was the date Vanessa Winfrey closed her book with family and friends here to open a new life with our Heavenly Father and her mom and dad in Heaven. She is loved, and will be missed.
