Obituary For Vivian Hector

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Vivian Hector on July 28th. 2018.

Funeral service will be held August 4th, 2018 1:00 pm at Sewell Mortuary Chapel in Grantville GA. 4/23/30-7/28/18

Visitation will be on August 3rd, 2018 from 2:30-7 pm at the funeral home.

Mrs. Vivian Hector was born April 23, 1930 in Meriwether County to the late Carene Godfrey and the late Hewlett Jackson.

She joined the Rocky Mt. Bethel Church at an early age. She went to school in Grantville, Georgia, where she graduated. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she met Mr. Andrew Hector and was united in marriage. Later they relocated to Los Angeles, California where she went to college and became a Registered Nurse. She later returned to Atlanta, Georgia. She joined St. Stephan Missionary Baptist Church.

On July 29, 2018, she entered into eternal rest. She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted sister, Margaret (Dan Parks) of Greenville, GA; two brothers who preceded her in death, Mr. Glenn McFarland and Mr. Melvin Dean.

She leaves in memory, step-son, Mr. Andrew Hector Jr.; one sister-in-law, Barbara Dean; one brother, Learwin Jackson; nephews, Dan (Henrietta) Parks of Hogansville, GA, UnRicky (Cynthia) Parks of LaGrange, GA, Corey (Felica) Dean of Los Angeles, CA, and Lenord of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Angela (Lilton Hill) of Luthersville, GA, Dianna (Michael McGruder) of LaGrange, GA, Kimberly (Howard Walker), Gwen, Yalonda and Wanda of Los Angeles, CA; a special cousin, Mr. Leon Coverson, Zion Hill, others, great nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend, Mrs. Sharon Hampton, caregiver, Ms. Kimberly Terry (Nurse); and God-daughter, Kimuel Howard.
