With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Annie B Hardnett on December, 27th, 2020.

Funeral service will be December 31st, 11:00 AM at Sewell Mortuary Chapel.

Visitation is from 4 to 6 PM on Wednesday the 30th, at Sewell Mortuary.

Mother Annie B. Lyons Hardnett was born August 16, 1927 in Meriwether county, Georgia to the late Homer Lyons and Rosie Clements Lyons. She was one of five siblings, three preceded her in death: Ollie Mae, Hattie, and Leila Lyons.

Annie B. was joined in marriage to the late Willie Hardnett and to this union one son was born, Emmett Hardnett. She worked in her home as a housewife and mother to her son and stepchildren.

At an early age Annie accepted Christ into her life and joined Arbor Chapel United Methodist Church where she attended regularly until her health began to fail.

She loved to call family and friends to ask how they were doing and was always asking about others from the community. She loved her son and grandson dearly and was very protective of them like a momma bird.

Early Sunday morning on December 27th Annie transitioned from this life into eternal rest.

She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Emmett Hardnett of Greenville, GA. Five stepchildren: Bobby Hardnett (Billie) of Woodbury, GA, Willie Hardnett of Forest Park, Ga., Larry Hardnett (Alberta) of Conyers, Ga., Scottie Hardnett of Gray, Ga., and Burnette Johnson of Dayton, OH. One sister: Jimmie Hudson of Harris City, Ga. Two grandsons: Quadratus Parham and Marquis Rhodes and two great grandchildren: Daija and Tae. Four nieces: Minnie, Rosa, Nicole, and Angela. And five nephews: Willie Floyd, Homer, Dewayne, Randolph, and Travis as well as a host of other relatives and friends that will miss her presence.
