IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ardelia
Depree
November 16, 1932 – July 13, 2022
Visitation
Funeral Service
Ardelia Depree was born to the late James Lee and Mary Jane Chatman Collier on November 16, 1932, in Talbotton, Georgia. She made her transition on July 13, 2022, in Newnan, Georgia.
Growing up in a Christian household, she gave her life to Christ at an early age. She attended Booker T. Washington High School in Atlanta, GA and went on to later receive a nursing certificate. She worked as a nursing assistant for many years before starting an at-home daycare where she groomed and nurtured many children. After living a full life with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, she retired to Grantville, GA where her favorite pastimes included caring for her flowers, baking cakes for the holidays, completing a vast amount of coloring books, putting puzzles together, feeding her hummingbirds and hand cracking nuts to feed to her squirrels. Although she was loving, she was also stern. The animals even listened to her. She truly was blessed throughout her years.
Ms. Depree was greeted in her new home by a host of angels that included her son James Anthony Brown and daughter Mattie Bennett. Also, there waiting with open arms were brothers: James, Willie, Edgar, John, Jesse, and Cleveland Collier; sisters: Viola Ainsley, Mary Cunningham and Fannie Lou Toles; and two granddaughters: Schenvia and Kulechia High.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Willis Brown, Elaine (Otis) Lawrence, Deborah (Maurice) Crockett and Bernard (Bernice) Depree, Jr.; many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 23rd, at 1:00 PM at Total Faith in Luthersville GA.
Visitation is from 4 to 6 PM on Friday the 22nd.
