With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Barbara Rosser on November 9th, 2022.

Graveside service will be held at Mt Pilgrim Baptist Church Greenville Ga, on Tuesday the 15th at 1 PM.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 PM Monday the 14th at Sewell Mortuary.

Our beloved Barbara Laverne Gates-Rosser was born October 21, 1950 in Meriwether County, Georgia to Frank and Catherine Gates Sr. She peacefully departed this life on November 9, 2022.

Barbara was educated at Greenville Consolidated High School and graduated in 1969.

After graduation, she married Samuel Carson and then moved to Atlanta. She was last employed by Piedmont Hospital until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Gates Sr., her brother, Frank Gates Jr. and her husband, Anthony Renard Rosser.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving mother, Catherine Gates, her sons, Christopher Antonio Carson and Donnay Renard (Shiquanda) Rosser, her grandchildren, ChriSondra Janae Carson, Elijah, Roshianda, Robin, her great grandsons, Aaiden, August, her nephew Antonio Maxwell Gates, niece Cinelle Vatrice Gates and a host of family and friends
