With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Bennie Overton on June 12th, 2022.

The funeral service will be on June 19th, at 2:00 PM at Macedonia Baptist Church in Grantville Ga.

Visitation will be on Saturday the 18th from 4 to 6 PM at Sewell Mortuary.

Bennie Overton 64 of Lone Oak, Georgia passed Sunday, June 12th,2022. He was born on September 17, 1957. He joined Zion Hill Baptist Church of Grantville, Georgia, and later attended Macedonia Baptist Church of Grantville, Georgia.

He was preceded in death by his parents Percy Overton, Sr., and Ella Ruth Overton. A brother Larry Overton. Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Oscar and Lucinda Colton. Three aunts and two uncles.

He is survived by the mother of his children Patricia Hines, son Bennie D. Overton, a daughter Shrita (Christopher) Willams, and three grandsons Keyo Avi Overton, Christopher C. Williams, Cortex C. Williams all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Four siblings Mrs. Debra Moreland (Calvin), Manchester GA., Mr. Percy Overton, Lone Oak, GA., Ms. Martha (Mack) Overton Lagrange, GA., and Ms. Tammy Rayford, Newnan, GA. One Aunt Ms. Arvella Colton, Newnan, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends
