With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Bernard S. Smith on June 19th, 2020.

Graveside service will be held Monday 29th, 11:00 AM at EastView Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday the 28th, from 1 to 3 pm at Sewell Mortuary.

Mask must be worn at all services.

Bernard (Bird) Smith was the first born child to Noble Smith-Ball on November 21, 1970. He was preceded in death by grandparents Jack and Janie Smith; one aunt Ola Mae Gartrell; four uncles David, Rodney, Darvin and Luther Smith.

Bernard went to Newnan Public School. He worked in his uncle's construction business for many years as a licensed lift driver. Then later worked as a short order cook.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving mother Noble (Marvin) Smith-Ball; his sister Monica (Ricky) Kirkland; one nephew Ricky Kirkland; two nieces Marqita and Jada Kirkland; one great-niece Kira (Shawt Legs) Bolton; one great-nephew Makhi Kirkland; aunts Elnora (Willie J) Beasley, Millinese (James) Hines, Connie (Emmanuel) Thompson and Angela Murray; one uncle Ronald Smith; one great uncle Thomas (Mary) Smith; two great aunts Ruby (Nathan) Williams and Rosa (Curtis) Lawrence; and a host of cousins who he loved dearly as sisters and brothers.
