With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Bessie Favors on February 11, 2022

Visitation will be February 17, 2022 from 4 to 6 pm.

Funeral service will be February 18, 2022, at 2 pm at Mary Middlebrook Chapel.

Our beloved Bessie Talley Favors was born October 27, 1929, to the late Lula Talley and John Henry Talley in Moreland, Georgia.

Bessie birthed seven children John Bohannon, Sanders Bohannon, Greg Favors, Stanley Favors, Ronald Favors, Angela Favors, and Tisa Favors.

Bessie worked as a chef at Beaulieu Nursing Home for 20 years. She was a resident of Newnan, Georgia for more than fifty years and she was a member of Mount Prospect Baptist Church. Bessie loved life and enjoyed every moment to the fullest. Talking to people and dancing were her favorite pastimes between being a loving grandmother to dozens of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bessie welcomed everyone she encountered with a warm heart and a good conversation. She was an amazing storyteller who enjoyed traveling and spending time with loved ones. She was an incredibly strong and independent woman who fought until the end.

She passed due to degenerative heart failure and other natural causes. Bessie departed this life on February 11, 2022, at Piedmont Newnan Hospital. In her last days she was surrounded by loved ones.
