Peacefully, on Thursday, November 19, 2015 Sister Catherine Bryant Jackson departed this life at Warm Springs Nursing Home in Warm Springs, Georgia. She was blessed with 89 years of life. Catherine (affectionately known to some as "Cat") was born July 17, 1926 to the late Same and Mittie E. Bryant of Talbotton, Georgia. She joined Powell Baptist Church at an early age. In June of 1949, she was joined in holy matrimony to the late Dea. Willie Lee Jackson (son of the late Rev. Robert and Mattie Jackson Sr.). She was a loyal and faithful wife for 62 years. She also was a loving and devoted mother.

She leaves to mourn: two sons, Calvin S. Jackson and Weston Lee (Sharon) Jackson; one daughter, Rita A. Jackson; one granddaughter, Jessica T. Jackson; one sister Mary Nell (Jimmie) Cook; three brother-in-laws: Copeland (Minnie) Jackson, Roosevelt (Loretta) Jackson, Sandell (Lavern) Jackson of Detriot, MI; four sister-in-laws: Lillian Pearl (Andrew B) Hall, Bernice Jackson, Thelma Jackson and Annie Kate Bryant; She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Catherine enjoyed gardening, growing beautiful flowers and caring for others.
