Obituary

With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Christine Cunningham on March 13th, 2025.

The funeral service will be held at 1 PM on March 18th, at Sewell Mortuary Chapel.

Visitation is from 4 to 7 PM on March 17th at the mortuary.

Christine was born in Newnan Ga to Ophelia Strickland Dunlap and Robert Lee Mitchell. Christine was a homemaker and wife. She joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at a very young age she worked for a while at West Point Pepperell. She was Blessed with five children; she married Cicero Cleveland at a young age. As Christine got older, she moved her church membership to Mt. Vernon Baptist Church she went to church until her health started to fail her. Christine love God she knew he was the head of her life, and she knew what he could do for her she always believed and said God will always make a way for her.

She leaves to cherish two daughters: Carolyn 'Pennie' Dunlap, and Darlene Dunlap. She leaves one son Isaac (Yolanda) Cleveland. She has six grandchildren: Crissie (Tego) Dunlap, Tony (Tiffany) Moss, Tiffany Callaway, Alton Callaway, Ava Cleveland, and Caron Cleveland. Four great grandchildren: Bryson Moss, Jamal Jones, Bryant Moss, and Jabari Dunlap.

She is proceeded in death with her two sons: Carlton Dunlap and Alton Dunlap. Her exhusband Charles Cunningham. Also, a special and dear friend Ira Gaston.

Sewell Mortuary is honored to be entrusted with providing end-of-life services to the family of Christine Cunningham.
