With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Clarence Bohannon on Monday, July 18th, 2022.

A graveside service will be held Friday, July 22nd, 11 AM at Grantville City Cemetery.

Clarence Garnell Bohannon born October 7, 1950 to the household of the late William and Thereatha Bohannon of Grantville, Georgia.

Clarence joined Greater Jehovah Baptist at an early age. He attended until he moved to Columbus, Georgia immediately uniting with Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. Clarence's soul was sold out to Jesus 100%.

Clarence was educated in the Coweta County School system. He graduated from Central High School in Newnan in 1968.

Clarence joined the United States Army and served our country as a SGT (E5) with the Military Police. He was a policeman, Guard and Watchman. He received a National Defense Service Medal as a sharpshooter with a rifle and pistol. He served in the armed forces from 1969 until 1975.

Clarence became a K-Mart manager of the Garden Shop at Columbus' Macon Road Location. He stayed in this store for forty-three years before retiring in 2016.

Preceding Clarence to the arms of our Saviour are his parents William and Thereatha Bohannon; brothers – William Jr. and Lincoln Carver Bohannon; sisters – Bobbie Clements, Joyce Pace, Annette, Marilyn and Marjorie Bohannon
