With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Mr. Dale Stargell on September 3rd, 2023.

Visitation/Viewing will be from 5 to 7 PM at Sewell Mortuary on September 8th, 2023.

The funeral service will be at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Woodbury, Georgia on Saturday the 9th, at 1:00 PM.

Mr. Dale Stargell was born on February 18, 1956 to the late Woodrow and Ruby Lee Stargell in Gay, GA. He was the youngest son of the 14 children born to Woodrow and Ruby Lee. On September 3, 2023, Dale entered into his final rest and went home to be with the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Ruby Lee Stargell; seven brothers, Woodrow Stargell (Pop) Henry Stargell, Joe Stargell, Rolzier Stargell, Vinson Stargell (Soup), Bennett Stargell, and Royce Stargell; five sisters, Emma Jean Holland, Opal Lee Harris, Nadine Stargell, Ruby Alford, and Debra Stargell Roberson.

He leaves to cherish his memory his high school sweet heart, Josephine Stargell, one daughter, Nicole Stargell Kendrick (Timothy), one son, Ahmad Stargell, two step daughters, Nakeisha Moreland (Oscar), and Amy Moreland, two stepsons, Navarus Mahone and Travis Terry. He also leaves to cherish his memory four grandsons, Jacquavious Stargell, Jayden Kendrick, and Octavious Stargell, Keysaun Daniels; five granddaughters, Jayla Mahone, Heavenly Mahone, Mahyzne Ellison, Alicia Stargell, Alani Austin, one great granddaughter, Nai'Lani Dior Stargell; one brother, Winston Stargell, one special nephew (more like a brother), Larry Stargell (Grace), two special nieces, Bernice Brightman (Ed), Roger Mae Adams and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, former classmates, and friends.
