Delores L. Wheeler was the second daughter born to Evelyna Wheeler on February 24, 1952. She attended David T. Howard High School in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated with honors. She was Baptized at Mount Welcome Baptist Church, Atlanta Georgia and sang in the choir. She had a love for dancing when she was younger and she had a passion for helping other. Delores garnered numerous awards as a Secretary for the State of Georgia. In her early 20s, she collaborated with civic leaders who sought to influence the political landscape of Atlanta. She transferred her propensity to trigger change to her only child Maurice. Delores L. Wheeler, passed December 31, 2016 at Grady Hospital.
Delores Wheeler leaves to cherish her memories one son, Maurice Arnold (Lacresia R. Arnold); Six Grandchildren, Jasmine Arnold, Jadea Edmonds, Joey Arnold, Malik Edmonds, Amyia Arnold and Zoe Arnold; her mother, Evelyna Wheeler; sisters, Dorris Shanks, Yvonne Powell; brothers, Onetha Wheeler (June L. Wheeler) and Charles R. Wheeler (Lola Brooks Wheeler); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
