Derrick Deshona Alford was born on February 14, 1979 to the late John Alford and Patricia Ransom in Warm Springs, GA. He departed this life on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at his home in the Odessadale Community.

Derrick was preceded in death by his father, John Alford and his step-father, George Ransom.

He is survived by his special friend, Chantrice Strozier; his mother, Patricia Ransom; his children, Louis Price, Keirra Slaton, Manquavious Harps and Mondarious Slaton; his grandchildren, Mai'son Bailey and Marquez Price; his siblings, Christopher Raglin of Greenville, GA, VanCheri Daniels of Grantville, GA, Mignon (Stevie) Davis of Union City, GA, Keshia Alford of Columbus, GA, Tameka Alford of Hogansville, GA, Latoya Alford of College Park, GA, Caratasky Alford of AL, Eric (Trell) Alford and Craig Alford, both of Griffin, GA; special cousins, Jamell Moreland and Deshon Lakes; and a special aunt, Janice Thompson.
