Funeral Service
With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Dewey Crowder on May 27th, 2023.
The funeral service will be held June 3rd, 2023 at 12 pm at Trinity CME Church, 77 Trinity Street Warm Springs, Ga 31830.
Visitation is from 3 to 6 PM on June 2nd.
Dewey W. Crowder was born on February 2, 1950; the youngest son of the late Render and Essie Crowder. He was educated in the Meriwether County School System; upon graduation he attended Upson Technical Institute in Thomaston, GA in Body and Fender. He was drafted into the U. S. Army on June 17, 1970. After serving in the Military, he was employed with General Motor Assembly Plant, Lakewood Division where he retired. He was co-owner of Crowder Vault Company.
Dewey joined Trinity C.M.E Church at an early age.
In addition to his parents, Dewey was preceded in death by his brother, Render Crowder, Jr.; sister Veronica Lakes and nephew, Jarrod Crowder.
Dewey leaves to cherish his memory and legacy, Bettye Rivers Hunt, Elaine (Sonny) Lyons, Sherell Parks, Judy (Alvin) Johnson, Brenda Moreland, Kenneth (Brenda) Lakes and Alexander (Vickie) Lakes; sister-in-law, Jeannette Crowder. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews: Rafael (Regina) Crowder, Shonda (Ronald) Applin, Brenna Crowder, Reginald (Ethelyn) Crowder, Sheneal (Joselyn) (Juan) Flute, Lakeshia Lakes, Deshon Lakes, Alexis Lakes, Alexander Lakes Jr, Arman Frasier- Lakes, Mercedes Clark, Miata Farley and Jamell Moreland. He also leaves other great-nieces, great- nephews and cousins that he truly loved.
