Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Dewey Bailey Jr. on 11-14-2017.

Funeral service is Saturday 11-18-2017 at 1:00 pm from Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Moreland GA.

Visitation is Friday 11-17-2017 from 1:00 to 6:00 pm at Sewell Mortuary.

Mr. Dewey Bailey Jr. was born August 4, 1957 in Coweta County Georgia to the late Josephine and Dewey Bailey Sr. On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, Dewey heard the voice of Jesus say "Come unto me, all ye who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest," at which time, he gave up his fight against colon cancer and departed this earthly life.

Dewey joined the Mount Calvary Baptist Church at an early age.

He attended the Coweta County Public School System.

Dewey lived the majority of life in the Black Jack Community in Coweta County. He had a brief work history due to disability issues that developed early in life. He worked briefly for Bibbs Manufacturing Company in Newnan and High Brand Foods in Peachtree City. He enjoyed being around his friends and family, talking on the telephone, fishing and fixing things.

He is survived by five aunts, Ozzie Dunlap, Augusta Kendall, Nina Lipscomb, Ruby Pearl Anthony and Johnnie Bailey; and a host of cousins and friends.
