With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Donna Ferrell on Friday, August 20th, 2021.

Graveside service will be Friday the 27th, at 11:00 AM at White Oak Grove Old Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on Thursday at Sewell Mortuary.

Donna Anita Ferrell was born April 8, 1962, at Grady Memorial Hospital to the late Cecil Ferrell Sr. and Mildred Wimbish Ferrell. As she entered at Grady, she was granted her wings at the same hospital on August 20, 2021, surrounded by her loving children, Tiffany and Isiah.

She joined Mount Sinai Baptist Church at an early age and attended White Oak Grove Baptist Church. She attended A. F. Herndon Elementary and McCrary Elementary. She graduated from Woodbury High School Class of 1980. She worked at Standard Product in Griffin, GA, and Southern Mills/Tencate for over 35 years until she couldn't physically perform her job. She created lifelong bonds with friends that interacted as family at Standard Product and Tencate.

Donna was called by family members as "Dino" and by her siblings as "Sargent Waters". She was known to her grandchildren as "Nana" who she loved beyond measure and enjoyed working as their "short order" cook. Donna loved the "Oakland Raiders" football team which she enjoyed watching every Sunday while trash talking with her family. Her past time was talking on the phone with her family/friends and connecting with friends on Facebook. Donna was a generous person that would give her last in order to help others. God truly gained a beautiful angel!

She loved her family and friends and fought a good fight until the end. Donna leaves to cherish her loving memories two children, Tiffany (Jarvis) Hudson and Isiah (Lekim) Ferrell. She leaves three precious grandchildren, Lencia Aniya Ferrell, Kaleb Stephens, and Zachariah Ferrell. Three siblings will be coping with her loss as well, Deborah Ferrell, Cecil Ferrell, Jr., and Gregory (Sherry) Ferrell. Donna leaves one aunt, Etta Ruth Ferrell, and one uncle, Chester (Hazel) Ferrell. She leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends.
