Dovie Jean Whitehead departed this life Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Columbus Hospice in Columbus, Georgia after a brief illness. She resided at the Warm Springs Nursing Home,Warm Springs, Georgia.
The daughter of Morgan and Jannie Whitehead, she was born August 17, 1954 in Harris County (Shiloh, GA).
A joyful and happy person who loved life, people and music. She'll be missed by many.
Her memory will be forever cherished by four brothers, Orvincson (Mildred) Whitehead of Shiloh, GA, Sylvester Whitehead of Warm Springs, GA, Lester (Shirley) Whitehead and Ira (Charlie Mae) Whitehead of Talbotton, GA; one sister, Maryeese Gay of Talbotton, GA; one uncle, Fred Whitehead of Chicago, ILL; nieces, nephews and cousins and many other relatives.
Preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers
