Obituary

Sister Essie Mae Favors was born July 15, 1952 as a blessing to the late Rev. Frazier and Mae Willie Brooks. Essie enjoyed talking and spending time with family and friends. She was truly loving and caring to everyone around her. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Essie was a devoted member of Grace Tabernacle Church of God in Christ where she worshiped faithfully since an early age. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Willie Mae Mulholland, Mrs. Jessie Kate McKinney and Mrs. Mattie Lee Hollis. On February 17, 1977, she was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Johnny Frank Favors and to this union three children were born. She leaves to cherish her memory a loving and devoted husband, Mr. Johnny Frank Favors of Manchester, Ga; two daughters, Chanta Favors-Mainor (Paul) of Evans, Ga and Nichole Favors of Manchester, Ga; one son, Courtney Favors (Laketus) of Warm Springs, Ga; four grandchildren, Maud, Kylan, Javon and Maliyah; one sister-in-law, Vera Favors; one brother-in-law, Donald Favors; her very special and loving, extended Childs Family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
