INTERMENT: East View Cemetery Newnan, Georgia
Mrs. Ethel Mae Smith was born August 8, 1947 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Mr. Cornelius and Mrs. Frances Smith (Barker).
She passed away peacefully on December 2, 2017. At an early age, she joined Wesley Chapel A.M.E. Church and was a former employee of Bibb Manufacturing. After working three years at Bibb, she went on to work at Playtex and later became a stay at home mom.
Ethel was united in Holy Matrimony with Willie Clifford Smith on August 27, 1966.
She leaves to mourn, her loving husband, Mr. Willie Clifford Smith; four children, Beverly Smith (deceased), Clifford Smith (Quita), Tony Ransby (Becky) and Shae Ransby (Uchennal); twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild; nine sisters, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (Maggie) Smith, Mrs. Marie Reese, Mrs. Katie Ransby, Mr. and Mrs. Milton (Eva) Keith, Mae Kate (deceased), Betty Joe, Joyce, Shirley and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee (Doris) Clark; brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Corneilus (Gail) Smith (deceased), Mr. and Mrs. Ossie Lee (Wyonia) Smith (deceased), Mr. Johnny Smith, Mr. Tony (Top Cat) Smith, Mr. and Mrs. T. R. (Sara) Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Willie (Coot) (Minnie B) Smith, Mr. Eugene Smith (deceased), Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Lee (Sharon) Smith (deceased), Mr. Willie B. (Josie Mae) Smith (deceased), Ronald, Donald, Lamar, Gene, Tony and Little J. R.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
