Sewell Mortuary respectfully announces the passing of Franklin Sinkfield on Sept 25, 2017.

Funeral service is Saturday Sept. 30th 2017, 12:00 pm at Holly Grove AME Church, Peachtree City GA.

Visitation is Friday 1 to 6 pm at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville.

Mr. Franklin Roosevelt Sinkfield was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. L.A. and Ozora Sinkfield on December 11, 1939 in Fayette County, GA. He departed this life on September 25, 2017.

Franklin was educated in the Fayette and Coweta County School Systems. Franklin joined Holly Grove A.M.E. Church at a very early age where he ushered for many years. He was employed by Southern Mills in Senoia, GA until starting his own business (W and F Wood Service) with his brother Willie H.

He was married to the late Eloise Rogers Sinkfield for 42 years. One daughter preceded him in death, Sandra Ingram. He leaves to cherish: one daughter, Minister Zina (Ronald) McCord; four grandchildren, Sebrina (Greylin) Cheek, Yolanda (Royal) Ingram-Godfrey, Bernita McCord, and Austin Ingram; two great-grandchildren, Joshua Morton and Jenaya Boler; four brothers, Willie H., Carol, Raymond (Ermogene), and Lester; one sister, Cynthia (Richard) Bush; sisters-in-law, Brenda, Savannah, and Shirley; two aunts, Annie Ruth Hammond and Bertha Andrews; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
