Gaynell Gates Parham was born April 30, 1959 in Meriwether County, Georgia to Geraldine G. Green and late Andrew Gates.

On May 5, 2016 the angel of death visited her at Warm Springs Hospital. Gaynell is a wonderful, well loved and blessed lady. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Tyrone Parham for 28 years. She joined Mt. Venus in Gay, Georgia.

Gaynell leaves to honor memories of her mother, Geraldine Green (Robert Green) of Atlanta, GA; her loving aunt, Ophelia McGill of Gay, GA; her mother-in-law, Pearl Parham of Greenville, GA.

Also preceding her in death, her step-mother, Mary F. Gates.

She leaves in memories her sisters, Diane G. Weathers (Henry) of Luthersville, GA, Juanita G. Reeves (Leroy) of Greenville, GA, Deborah Birts Simmons (Jimmy) of Decatur, GA, Martha J. Gates of Atlanta, GA, Debra A. Dunlap (Alton) of Palmetto, GA, Kinzie Gates of Grantville, GA, Kimberly D. Gates of Newnan, GA; also her loving brothers, Johnny Jerome McGill (Gail) of Gay, GA, Christopher D. Gates of South Carolina, Tellis Gates of Newnan, GA; three step-brothers and one step-sister; eight brother-in-laws and six sister-in-laws; also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
