Obituary

Sewell Mortuary in Grantville respectfully announces the passing of Georgia May Bell-Brown on January 1st, 2018.

Funeral service is January 5th 2018 at 1:00 pm for Red Oak Grove Baptist Church in Gay GA.

Visitation is 1-4-2018 from 11 am to 6 pm at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA.

On Monday morning, January 1st, Mrs. Georgia May Bell Brown transitioned to her Heavenly Home to be with the Lord.

Georgia May was born on January 8, 1945, to the late Mr. & Mrs. John Thomas (Lena Mae Gaston) Bell, Sr., in Meriwether County, Georgia. She was the oldest daughter of eight children. Georgia May was educated in the Meriwether County School System. She joined Red Oak Grove Baptist Church at an early age and remained a faithful member until her illness.

Georgia May retired from Tredegar Corporation a/k/a Bonnell Aluminum with 37 years of service.

Georgia May had a strong love for her family. She enjoyed visiting the Luthersville Senior Citizens Center; and doing the various activities and going on outings with her friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. George (Willie Pearl) Gaston; three brothers, Mr. John Thomas Bell, Jr., Mr. Frank Norman Bell, and Mr. Willie George Bell; sister-in-law, Mrs. Jonelle Bell; brother-in-law, Mr. Joseph Alexander, Jr.; niece, Mrs. Carolyn Smith.

Georgia May leaves to cherish her precious memories: devoted and loving son, Mr. & Mrs. Andrew Lewis (Katrina) Bell; loving and devoted daughter, Ms. Stephanie Rena Brown; nine grandchildren, Mr. & Mrs. Demarrio (Kandice) Bell, Mr. & Mrs. Deontae (Ajsha) Bell, Destinee Brown, Dominique Carter, Demetria Gordon, Demetrius Brown, Devonte Gordon, DeKyra Gordon, and Demarrion Gordon; three great grandchildren, Devin Bell, Drake Bell, and Addison Bell; three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Margie Alexander, Ms. Ruby Nell Bell, Mr. Maxie Bell, Ms. Melinda Sue Bell; aunt, Mrs. Ruby Driver; uncle, Mr. Rufus Gaston; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
