Funeral service is Thursday January 5th, 2017 at 11:00 AM from House of Hightime Apostolic Church. 759 Todd Rd Greenville, GA 30222
Interment: The House of Hightime Apostolic Church Cemetery
Public visitation is Wednesday from 2 to 6PM, at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA.
Mr. Homer (BUB) Lewis McKee was born February 6, 1952 to the parentage of the late Willis and Emma Daniel McKee in Meriwether County. He was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Homer Lewis McKee is a native of Meriwether County. He is the youngest of eleven siblings. Pastor McKee received his education in the Meriwether County School System. He graduated from Atlanta Technical College where he studied Graphic Arts and Photography; he also attended Clayton State College where he studied Business Management. He attended Southeastern Mortgage School in Kennesaw, Georgia and graduated in Mortgage Banking and Finance. In addition, he furthered his education by enrolling at Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia; his studies consisted in obtaining an MA in Theological studies.
He served as a deacon at Greenville Church of God, Greenville, Georgia for 10 years and served as assistant pastor at House of High time since the year of 2000. Homer Lewis McKee was formally installed as the New Pastor for the House of Hightime Apostolic Church on December 5, 2010. He was an anointed man of God and enjoyed doing what the Lord had called him to do.
Homer Lewis McKee was preceded in death by his son, Ontonieo McKee; parents, Willis and Emma Daniel McKee; Sister, Mattie (Rufus) Dean; Sister, Lillian(Leon) Cobb; brother, Willis(Betty) McKee, Jr; brother, Eulysses (Buddy) McKee, Sister Eugenia McKee; Sister, Lucendia Dean.
He leaves to cherish his great memories, a loving, devoted, and faithful wife of 45 years, Mary Tenney McKee; a daughter, Sametra Chavez Watts-McKee of Orlando Florida; son, LaTartas Germon (Sharon) McKee, of Grantville, Georgia; six grandchildren; Nkosi Watts, Jarobi Watts, Raylen Watts, Jamil McKee, Jada McKee and Jamal McKee; Sisters, Tommie Brown, Angel (Sylvester) Sherman, Christine Stinson all of Greenville, Georgia and Corene (Willie) Blount of Luthersville, GA. Honorary Brother, Rick(Cherry) Myrick of Greenville, Georgia. In Laws, Marie Parks, Doris Godfrey, Sarah Parks, Vernita (Nathaniel) Tenney, Marcia (Jeffrey) Brooks, Charles (Annie) Tenney, Margie McKee. A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
