Mr. Jimmie Lee Howard Jr. (Sonny) transitioned peacefully on Thursday, July 2, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital. He was born February 2, 1942 in Talbotton, Georgia where he resided until his death. He was the second child of the late Mr. Jimmie Lee Howard and Mrs. Rosie Marshall Howard. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlene Howard; brother, Herman Howard; a sister, Ida Bussey and a grandson, Ramond Jenkins.
Jimmie Lee Howard worked for Columbus Foundry for over 30 years until his retirement.
He joined Bluff Spring C.M.E. Church at an early age where her worked on the Trustee Board until he took on as Care Taker for his wife and brother-in-law, Square Patrick.
Jimmie Lee leaves to cherish his memories a loving and devoted wife,Mary E. Howard of 54 years; his seven children, Jimmie Howard III (Clara), Acquilla Copeland (Ramon), Waynecine Terry (Rev. Solomon), Rev. Johnny Howard (Kathy), Darlene Copeland (Travis), Vinson Marshall (Tracey), Travis Howard; two brothers, Bernard Howard (Annie), Rev. Jeffer Howard (Lavon); four sisters, Joann Gunn, Acquilla Dewberry, Dorthy Hamler and Deborah Ivy; a mother-in-law, Mattie Patrick; three sister-in-laws, Lillian Crenshaw, Willie Jean Patrick and Clothe Smith; seven brother-in-laws, Sammie Lee Patrick, Square Patrick, Jr., Steve Patrick, Alfred Patrick, Quintin Patrick, Clayton Patrick and Anthony Patrick; He also leaves eighteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
