With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Mr. John Oscar Ingram on February 6th, 2022.
Mr. Ingram's visitation is tomorrow February 8th from 5 to 7 pm at Sewell Mortuary.
His service will be Wednesday at 2:30 at 2000 Ogletree Road in Greenville, GA.
John Oscar Ingram, aged 82 was a lifetime resident of Greenville, Georgia. Oscar was born on November 26, 1939, in Hartford, Alabama. Oscar passed away February 6, 2022.
Oscar was proceeded in death by his wife Louise Nipp, and stepdaughter Letti Crawford (long time caregiver).
Oscar was a lifetime member of Ironworkers Local 387 Atlanta, Georgia. He worked all over the United States on structural steel construction sites including most high-rise buildings in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. He loved fishing however, it was second to his beloved border collie Penny.
Oscar loved farming and growing things. Oscar was a Christian and a good man. We believe Oscar is in the Garden of Paradise with Jesus today.
Oscar is survived by his three children: Melissa Woods (John) of Pine Mountain, Georgia, Frances Tindell (Rex) of New Port Richey Florida, and John Ingram (Evelyn) Grantville, Georgia; one sister Mary Bridges; two nieces Deborah Matheson and Ivy Hailey; twelve grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; and host of family and friends.
John and Evelyn, along with their three children, were tireless caregivers for the past year until he passed peacefully.
