Funeral Service for Mr. Simon is Saturday 8/27/2016 at 2 PM Mt. Venus Baptist Church in Gay GA.

Visitation is from 12 to 6 PM Friday 8/26/2016 at K K Sewell Funeral Home in Manchester GA

Mr. Joseph Simon was born November 13, 1949 in Meriwether County. He was the second child of Mary Ann Simon who preceded him in death. Father also preceded him in death, Marvin Neal, Sr.

Joseph Simon was a man who enjoyed his family, loved fishing, and he also enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. He was granted his angel wings on August 19, 2016.

Joseph is survived by his two children: Joseph Johnson and Peggy Johnson; nine grandchildren: Rekita Horne, D'zavier Johnson, T'Andre Johnson, Latoya Johnson, Joseph Johnson, Mica Johnson, Shaquita Hall, Joshua Johnson, Matesha Johnson, Jeremiah Chatfield; twelve great grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memories, his loving siblings: Mary Joyce Gates (Willie) of Gay, GA, Carolyn Simon of Manchester, GA, Arise Hugley (Kenneth) of Atlanta, GA, Annie D. Weems (Willie) of Luthersville, GA, Brenda Gates of Atlanta, GA, Virginia Dennis (George) of Griffin, GA, Grace Stargell (Larry) of Luthersville, GA, Barbara Simon of Griffin, GA, Deborah Dennis (John) of Williamson, GA; brothers: Ralph Simon, Mark Simon (Sylvia) of Blackjack, GA; aunt, Lizzie Simon of Greenville, GA; extended siblings: five brothers and six sisters; a special friend, Linda Bolden; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends
