Obituary

On April 5, 1965 Lamar J. Hinton was born to the late Mother Mattie Dozier Hinton and Willie Lee Hinton of Warm Springs, Georgia.

Lamar (Rooster) was a caring, loving person who loved fishing with his partner Devontae Rawls. When you met him he wasn't a stranger to no one. He was a good hearted person to those who was in need. He attended Woodbury Elementary and High School. He was self employed.

On June 1, 2016 he departed his life at Rivertown Rehabilitation Center in Columbus, Georgia surrounded by family and staff. He preceded in death by his parents, Mattie and Willie Lee Hinton; one sister, Mattie D. Dozier; uncles and cousins.

He leaves to cherish, one son, Adrian Edwards of Delta, MS; two wonderful sisters, Sis. Willie Mae (Pastor Terry Gunn), Betty Sinkfield; two loving brothers, Reginald Hinton and John Campbell of Woodbury, GA; a loving step father, John Campbell Sr. of Woodbury, GA; seven aunties, Emma Heath (Emmet), Bessie Dozier, Marynell McGill, Sarah Harper (Emmett), Lucille Dozier, Della Jackson and Dorothy Thompson (Dwight); seven uncles, Henry, Andrew, Robert (Pat), Albert (Geraldine), Jessica (Gloria), Jerry and Michael Dozier; host of special friends; seven nephews, eight nieces; truely missed by host of cousins and a special cousin, a true sister, Mickeon Dozier.
