Visitation Is on the 9th, from 3 to 6 PM at K K Sewell Funeral Home in Manchester.

Our loving Laura Kate Holmes was the third child born to the late Thomas and Willie Mae Copeland Holmes on October 1 1939 in Talbot County, Georgia

She attended John H Woodall School in Woodland, Georgia She became a member of Valley Grove Baptist Church at a very young age

Kate was a homemaker, protector and caregiver of everyone she loved She loved being outside planting flowers and what not

Her transition was preceded by seven siblings Willie C Holmes, Louise Holmes, Berth Harvey, Tommie L Holmes, Inez Dixon, Abraham Holmes and Barbara Brown

She leaves six siblings to treasure her memories, Georgia Rolax Carrie Walton, Robert Holmes ( Martha Harris, Bennie C Holmes and Ray Holmes her brother in law, Jim Dixon and sister in law, Vonelle Holmes A ll of her nieces and nephews were her favorite, she loved all of them the same, cousins and friends she loved you also
