Obituary

With humble respect, Sewell Mortuary in Grantville announces the transition of Laura Howard on January 2nd, 2025.

Funeral service will be at Mount Commadore AME Church in Midland Georgia on January 9th at 12 PM.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM on January 8th at Sewell Mortuary.

Laura Howard, daughter of Mary Morgan and the late George Howard. She was raised in Shiloh, Ga. Laura was a graduate of Harris County High School in 1984. She later went to Upston Tech, then worked at Goody Product. She moved to Columbus, Ga where she worked several jobs and later she worked for ESP and attended Troy State University.

Ms. Laura was preceded in death by her siblings, Craig Howard, Kevin Howard and Georgia Howard, her stepfather, William Morgan Sr.

Laura is survived by her loving son, Craig McCrory, her devoted mother, Mary Morgan, a loving nephew, Jamar Holmes, two sisters Clarice Morgan of Ft Gaines, Ga, Patrice Morgan in Pensacola, Fl., brother Jamie Benson, Columbus, Ga, bro. Antonio Denton, William Morgan Jr., Vero Beach, FL stepmother, Eva Denton, 7 aunts Mary Holt, Annie Copeland, Wylene Peterson, Nancy Giddins, Rebecca Grimes, Laura Morgan and Brenda Settles, 4 uncles Rev. Robert Copeland, Jerry Morgan, Uncle Nathaniel and Bobby Howard, 6 nieces, 3 nephews, cousin Kathy Harris, cousin Mollie Sanders, and close friend Stephanie Sharp who stayed with her in the hospital and at home
