Bernard affectionately known as "Mr. Big" loved working at PetSmart Distribution Center. He also enjoyed cooking, spending time with his family, restoring cars and riding his motorcycle was his passion. In his spare time, he also enjoyed watching movies and cooking on the grill for his family and friends. Bernard was a true friend to everyone he met and loved by many.

He is survived by his loving wife of twenty years, Linda Bell-Rush; along with his adored children; Bernard, Corey, Eboni, Keanna, Brandon and seven treasured grandchildren. Also surviving are his mother, Martha Jean (Moss) Rush, two loving sisters, Marilyn Barner, Sonya (Ernest) Cousins, Jr. and two devoted brothers, Christopher Rosser and Bradford Moss.

A host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, caring in-laws along with countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him. Bernard is preceded in death by his father Lawrence Bernard Rush, Sr.

There were many wonderful aspects to Mr. Big's life, and many ways that he touched our lives. He will be remembered as a loving husband, a devoted son, a wonderful brother, a great friend, a generous uncle, cousin, a passionate motor cycle rider, an excellent cook, and a friendly face in town. In all these ways and more, he made our lives richer and fuller. Now that he has passed away, of course there is emptiness and pain, confusion and maybe even anger at death coming to a man of only forty-eight years, but in many ways, the gift of Mr. Big's life is still here with us. He lives on in our memories and stories, and in what all of us have become because of him. So I encourage you to share–today, tomorrow and in the years to come-your memories and stories, and to share the pain of your loss as well. In this way we will keep the gift of Mr. Big's life alive.
