Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA. respectfully announces the passing of Lennell Bray, on October 16th 2016.
Funeral Service : Saturday October 22nd 2:00 PM Fellowship Baptist Church, Greenville GA.
Visitation is Friday October 21st, from 10AM to 6PM at Sewell Mortuary in Grantville GA.
Mr. Lennell "Rooster" Bray was born February 7, 1954 in Meriwether County, Georgia to the late Carrie Lee Towns and Otis Bray.
Lennell joined Mt. Pleasant C.M.E. Church at an early age. He was employed at Keith Diary Farm in Montville, Georgia where he worked there faithfully for many years until he retired.
Lennell was a very loving, caring, kind man. He loved his family and playing with his grandkids. He enjoyed helping others if he could. He loved his dogs, fishing, and watching sports. He loved talking and he could make you laugh even when you didn't want to. He had a heart of gold with a big smile.
On Sunday, October 16, 2016 he departed this life at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Ronald Bray, Holsey Bray and Billy David Bray.
He leaves to cherish his memories, a loving and devoted wife of over twenty seven years, Mrs. Mary Louise Bray; six children, Lennell Jr. (Keisa) Bray, Kenya (Tomeika) Bray, Brandon Gates, ReShawn (Rebecka) Bray, Tiffany (Chris) Jackson, LaSandra (Undray) Grier; twelve grandchildren; four great grandchildren; four brothers, Leon (JoAnn) Bray, Tommie Lee (Sylvia) Town, Willie (Gwendolyn) Bray, Gregory Bray; six sisters, Mattie (Clarence) Harrell, Mary Bray Williams, Barbara Bray, Deborah Bray, Cynthia Bray and Terrell Bray; six brother-in-laws, Glen (Crystal) Cox, Jimmy Cox, Jhon (Jacqueline) Reeves, Leroy Reeves, Randy (Vanessa) Reeves; two sister-in-laws, Helen Bray, Jean (Albert) Tucker; two uncles, George (Mat) Bray, Rev. Clarence (Minnie) Bray; five aunts, Mary Lou Strozier, Bethina Porter, Catherine Towns, Geneve Bray, and Ella Bray; one special nephew, Torreges Bray; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
