Leroy "Shawn" Godfrey will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us.

To my baby brother, As I struggle with the fact that you are no longer here, I am at a loss for words. Only a few days have passed since you left us, and the void is already too great.

We have experienced many wonderful and difficult times together. Sometimes we couldn't agree, and other times we were inseparable, laughing till our sides ached. You were my brother, though, and I cherished you despite everything.

I can still clearly recall the wonderful times, the adventures we had, the secrets we kept, and how you never failed to make me smile. I cherish those recollections since they serve as a reminder of our relationship.

Of course, we too had our arguments and challenging times. However, a bond that was unbreakable existed even in those days. We grew up together, learnt from one another, and, in the end, supported one another no matter what.

I cannot adequately convey the manner in which your presence in my life influenced me. I wish we had more time to just be together, to make amends, and to make more memories. Despite the difficult times, I hope you understand how much you meant to me.

My darling brother, may you rest in peace. I will always have you by my side, appreciating the positive and growing from the negative. I shall always carry your soul with me.

With all of my affection, Pat
