K. K. Sewell Funeral Home in Manchester respectfully announces the passing of Louvonia Copeland on January 10th, 2020.
Funeral Service is Friday1/17/2020 at 11:00 am at St. Paul CME Church in Shiloh GA.
Visitation is Thursday the 16th from 2 to 6 PM at K K Sewell Funeral Home.
Louvonia Copeland was born August 17, 1936 in Woodbury, Georgia to the late Charles and Gussie Slaton. She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of St. Paul CME Church. On January 10, 2020 Louvonia Copeland departed life at the Warm Springs Nursing Home.
She was married to the late Johnny Copeland. To that union four children were born: LaGrume Copeland, Columbus, GA, Curtis Copeland (deceased) Shiloh, GA, Wallace (Jimmie) Copeland, Manchester, GA, Pamela (Bobby) Buchanan, Manchester, GA.
She also leaves to cherish her memories two sisters, Mary Jane Beckham of Atlanta, GA, Mattie Render of Greenville, GA; one brother, Hewett Slaton of New York. Siblings who preceded her in death, Clarence Slaton, Jake Slaton, Bill Slaton, George Brown, Raymono Brown, Willie Jane Brown, Eunice Harp, Cornelia Walton, Rubye Walton, Claire Battle. Eight grandchildren, Cassie (Brandon) Martin, Chasity Copeland, Brian Buchanan, Amber Buchanan, Javonda Copeland, Dishelia Copeland, Bernard Copeland, Quintaurus (Keisha) Copeland; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her greatly.
