Life and times of Marilyn Delois Bohannon, better known as "Dee Dee." Dee Dee was one of the second set of twins born into the household of William and Thereatha (Johnson) Bohannon on April 22, 1954.
Dee Dee grew up in Grantville, along with her seven brothers and seven sisters. She joined the Greater Jehovah Baptist Church at an early age and continued to be aligned with the church all her live. Dee loved her church.
Dee Dee attended Grantville Brown and Glanton Elementary schools. In 1972 she graduated from Newnan High School. She attended West Georgia College (State University of West Georgia) before leaving for Bridgeport, Connecticut. While in Connecticut, Dee Dee worked in home Health Care as a Nursing Assistance. For fun, Dee was an amateur Mud Wrestler. She enjoyed working with older people. Dee enjoyed her life.
On July 20, 2015, the Lord stopped by PIedmont Hospital in Fayetteville, GA and called "Dee Dee" and she answered "Yes Lord, I'm ready." Dee Dee's Mom and Dad, two brothers and four sisters were waiting to welcome her home.
Dee Dee leaves to cherish her memories a devoted daughter, Deidra Bobbi-Ann Bohannon; a grateful son, Marlon Donald Bohannon and a delightful grandson, Tristan Donald Bohannon; three sisters, Gladys Varner, Jannette Gilliam and Linda Bohannon, Grantville, GA; five brothers, Billy (Ella) Fayetteville, NC, Alfred (Barbara), Augusta, GA, Clarence, Columbus, GA, Michael (Teresa), Grantville, GA, and Joel (Elizabeth) Bohannon, College Park, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
