Mary Ann Alford was born on June 18, 1951 to the late Johnnie Mae Strozier Alford and the late Robert W. Alford Sr. who preceded her in death in Meriwether County. During her early life she joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish a special friend, Michael Sneed of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one son and three daughters: Rodney Alford (Kimberly) of Orlando, FL, Necy, Bernice of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Shawanda of Dade County; thirty grandchildren; thirty-two great grandchildren; three sisters, Stella M. Hinton of Manchester, GA, Barbara J. Alford and Janice A. Thompson (Wayne) both of Woodbury, GA; three brothers, Robert William Alford, Jr. of Detroit, MI, Ronald C. Alford and William L. Alford both of Woodbury, GA; She also has three brothers and one sister who preceded her in death, John Robert Alford, John Lee Alford, Darryl Alford; aunt, Gussie Hammock of Cleveland, OH; a devoted friend who will truly miss her, Brenda Stroman Harps; she has several nieces and nephews that truly miss her as well.
