Funeral Service at Powell Baptist Church in Talbotton, GA. 12-7-2017 at 1:00 pm.
INTERMENT: Bluff Spring C.M.E. Church Cemetery
Visitation at the funeral home 12-6-2017 from 12 pm to 6 pm.
Mrs. Mary Emma Howard transitioned peacefully on Thursday November 29, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born October 16, 1943 in Talbotton, Georgia where she resided until her death. She was born to the late Square Patrick and Fannie Emma Patrick. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jimmy Lee Howard Jr.; a daughter, Charlene Howard; a step mother, Mattie Patrick; and a grandson, Ramond Jenkins.
Mary Howard worked for Oak View Nursing for many years and later retired from Warm Springs Medical Center Nursing Home.
She joined Powell Baptist Church at an early age. She later move her membership to Bluff Spring C.M.E. where she served on the usher board, and later she started the Bluff Spring Youth Choir until her health failed.
Mary E. Howard leaves to cherish her memories, seven children, Jimmy Howard III (Clara), Acquilla Copeland (Ramon), Waynecine Terry (Rev. Solomon), Rev. Johnny Howard (Kathy), Darlene Copeland (Travis), Vinson Marshall (Tracey), Travis Howard; three sisters, Lillian Crenshaw, Willie Jean Patrick and Clothe Smith (Jessie); seven brothers, Sammie Lee Patrick, Square Patrick Jr., Steve Patrick, Alfred Patrick, Quintin Patrick (Henrietta), Clayton Patrick and Anthony Parick (Shawanda); two brother-in-laws, Bernard Howard (Annie), Rev. Jeffer Howard (Lavon); four sister-in-laws, Joann Gunn, Acquilla Dewberry, Dorthy Hamler and Deborah Ivy. She also leaves nineteen grand children and seven great grand children; and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
